Welcome to Dumfries Dolphins Swimming!

Dumfries Amateur Swimming Club (DASC) was founded in 1964 and trained at Greensands, Dumfries from then until May 2008 when the prestigious DG One Leisure Complex opened and became the clubs’ new home .With access to two training pools the club is able to offer training to all levels of swimmer ranging in age from 8 to 65+.

Swimming is one of the most popular sports in the UK, and as well as being awesome fun, it's also a great way to make new friends, get fit and learn exciting new skills.

There are 5 levels of age group squad providing age and ability appropriate training. This includes a club training squad for secondary age school children who still wish to train for fitness but due to other school or sporting commitments cannot meet the criteria for other squads. The club also has a Masters squad, for the over18s, who train several times a week. Some of their members compete across Scotland and beyond whilst others enjoy the focused training and social aspect of the squad.

Our top swimmers compete through out the country at age group level having competed at British Age Groups, Welsh Nationals, Irish Nationals and Scottish Nationals collecting many medals along the way for their efforts. Other team members compete at all levels from mini-league to highly competitive meets with strict entry times. A supportive team atmosphere is encouraged throughout the training and competition process which has enhanced the success of the team as a whole.
